OUR MISSION
HELPING YOU TO GET ACTIVE AND STAY ACTIVE WITH PARKINSON'S
HOW IT STARTED
THE STORY BEHIND THE PARKINSON'S COACH....
About Me
I’m a personal trainer, running coach, and GB age-group triathlete with a deep belief in the power of movement to support physical and emotional wellbeing. In 2018, when my father-in-law was diagnosed with Parkinson’s, our family was faced with many of the same questions and uncertainties that so many people experience after a diagnosis.
Wanting to help in a meaningful way, I began exploring whether exercise could play a positive role in supporting him to live well with his condition. As I deepened my understanding, the research consistently highlighted the importance of regular exercise for supporting physical function and improving overall wellbeing. To ensure I could provide informed, safe and effective support for him, I went on to complete a Level 4 Specialist Qualification in Exercise for Long-Term Neurological Conditions.
Since then, I’ve seen firsthand how consistent, targeted exercises can help individuals with Parkinson's to build strength, move with greater confidence and feel more capable in their everyday lives. With the right support, exercise can become a positive and enjoyable part of daily life.
My Mission
Through The Parkinson’s Coach, my mission is to empower people living with Parkinson’s to take an active role in their health through exercise. I provide the knowledge, practical tools, and support to help you move more, move better and stay active in a way that feels safe and achievable for you.
Parkinson’s affects everyone differently, and starting or continuing exercise can feel daunting at times. But regular exercise can be a powerful way to support physical function, independence, and overall wellbeing. My role is to guide and support you, so that you can build confidence in your movements, make informed choices, and take positive steps towards managing your health.
We believe in the power of exercise to change people's lives.
